Filter Back-washing

Over time filtration becomes less efficient and flow rate loss in the inlet may occur (or loss of load). In the automatic models, for the back-washing are used hydro-valves with a remarkable water passage and a differential pressure control box. At set time or with manual button.

Back-washing is activated in order to keep the difference between inlet pressure (dirty water) and outlet pressure (clean water) within a maximum value of 1 bar.
Back-washing is carried out in one chamber only using the liquid that has been cleaned and filtered by the second chamber.

5 - they hydro-valve shuts the dirty water inlet coming from the upper part.

6 - The water reverses its forcedly merging from the bottom to the top (upstream)

7 - Back-washing water drag to the surfaces all the residuals trapped in the grit

8 - the water saturated with dirty particles is conveyed towards a supplementary outlet.

In filters in battery the back-washing is carried out periodically and in alternative way during ordinary filtration and with the same filtered water.
